don’t pray for me

don’t pray for me

don’t pray for me

don’t touch me here and now

i look around

all eyes on me

don’t pray for me now

i’m dirtier than you can see

your heavy eyes see through me

but I’m dirtier than you can see

don’t pray for me now

you wear the label ‘family’

but what does that mean

don’t pray for me now

all eyes on me

to see my needs

to see my gossip feeds

don’t pray for me now

do you know what family means to me

don’t pray for me now.

i don’t want you to see

what is inside of me

i’m dirtier than you can see

don’t pray for me

    1. Just know it’s not the praying that disturbs me, its the judgements and the hypocrisy that I have come to despise. So the poem is more about not wanting these people who call themselves family, kick me when I’m down, then say they will pray for me. Well, hell, I wouldn’t need prayer for this if I hadn’t been kicked when I was down. So don’t offer to pray for me when you are the reason I need prayer.

However, I thank you for your comment. Would like to believe that there are real people out there that truly live what they believe and commit to the love that is actually preached and taught.
